THE STAR
Music|Saenghwang Gamin

The painting of Hwangi Kim "Where and What Becomes Again (1970)," which quotes a line from Kwangseop Kim's poem "In the Evening," is one of his most famous works from his later years, attributed as an inspiration for "The Star". Gamin drew inspiration from Hwangi's late pointillist works, fantasizing about the harmony of the sky and stars, the resonance of sound and space, and the cosmic harmony in her own musical universe with her unique style.

In the Evening

Among all these many
One star gazes down at me
Among all these many people
I gaze back at that one star

As the night grows deeper
The star fades into the brightness
And I fade into the darkness

In this clear moment
You and I
Where and what will we become
To meet again
